A Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event, for which no BFEs have been determined.
AE Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event, for which BFEs have been determined.
A1-A30 (create 30 rows for this A1, A2, A3, and so on till A30) Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event, for which BFEs have been determined.
AH Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance shallow flooding (usually an area of ponding), for which BFEs have been determined; average flood depths range from 1 to 3 feet.
AO Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance shallow flooding (usually sheet flow on sloping terrain), for which average depths have been determined; flood depths range from 1 to 3 feet.
AR Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area that results from the decertification of a previously accredited flood protection system that is determined to be in the process of being restored to provide base flood protection.
A99 Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) High An area subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event, but which ultimately be protected upon completion of an under construction Federal flood protection system. This is an area of special flood hazard where enough progress has been made on the construction of a protection system, such as dikes, dams, and levees, to consider it complete for insurance rating purposes. BFEs have not been determined.
V Coastal High Hazard Areas (CHHA) High An area along coasts subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event with additional hazards associated with storm induced waves. No BFEs have been determined.
VE Coastal High Hazard Areas (CHHA) High An area along coasts subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event with additional hazards associated with storm induced velocity wave action. BFEs have been determined.
V1-V30 (create 30 rows for this) Coastal High Hazard Areas (CHHA) High An area along coasts subject to inundation by the 1% annual chance flood event with additional hazards associated with storm induced velocity wave action. BFEs have been determined.
B Moderate Risk Area Moderate An area within the 0.2% annual chance flood plain, an area of 1% annual chance flooding where average depths are less than 1 foot, an area of 1% annual chance flooding where the contributing drainage area is less than 1 square mile, and areas protected from the 1% annual chance flood by a levee. BFEs have not been determined.
C Minimal Risk Area Minimal An area outside the 1% and 0.2% annual chance flood plains. BFEs have not been determined.
X Moderate to Minimal Risk Area Moderate to Minimal X(shaded) is the moderate risk area within the 0.2% annual chance flood plain while X (unshaded) is an area outside the 1% and 0.2% annual chance flood plains. BFEs have not been determined.
D Undetermined Risk Area Undetermined An unstudied area where flood hazards are undetermined, but flooding is possible. No mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements apply, but coverage is available in participating communities.
SHX Minimal Risk Area Minimal An area where there is a .02 chance of flood in any given year (also known as the 500-year flood zone).
NONE Unknown Unknown An area for which there is no available FEMA flood zone.
