Imports, Exports and Syndication

Imports

The Import function allows you to import attribute values through the use of a defined Import Template or to use the Current View option to import record attribute values from a delimited file or spreadsheet.

Exports

The Export function provides the ability to export record attribute values, either by exporting selected records (Current View) or through the use of an Export Template.

Export Digital Assets

Export and syndication templates can be set up to include a zipped folder containing any Digital Assets linked to the exported records. Export and syndication templates are typically defined by the system administrator.

Generate Import/Export Template

The Generate Import/Export Template function allows the user to generate an empty file to be used to import data into an Enable repository. The user configures the file by selecting an Import Template to define the columns in the file, and deciding which Category Attributes will be included along with the global attributes specified by the Import Template.

Syndication and Channel Readiness

The use of a syndication template for exporting record data is especially useful if any data transformations or validations are required before the Export file or files are generated. Syndication templates are typically created by the system administrator.
