Field mapping list view

Grid field Description
Video field (Target) The name of the video input (shown as a link). Contact your EngageOne system administrator if there is an input missing, or an input you do not expect to see. The video input’s data type is shown in parentheses.
Note: Array inputs will not be shown as a link and it will not be possible to configure them.
Click the link to configure the mapping. Refer to Mapping template fields for further information.
Template field (Source) The name of the template data field that has been mapped onto the video field. If no mapping has been configured, this column will show ‘Not mapped’.
Default value The value of a default or constant. The default or constant value will be mapped to the video’s input if:
  • There is no template field selected in the mapping;
  • The selected template field’s value is null.String values will be shown in double quotes.
    Note: that the quote characters will not be passed to the video. They are used only to highlight the presence of non-printing characters in the default/constant value.
Status The status of the mapping. This will be either Valid or Invalid. Mappings are Invalid if:

  • No mapping has been configured for a mandatory video input,

    - or -

  • There is a mapping but the data type of the template field is not compatible with the data type of the video input. This can happen if the data type of either the source or the target changes after the mapping has been configured.
