User Dashboard
When a user logs into EnterWorks using the New UI they are taken to the User Dashboard (also referred to simply as Dashboard) of one of the user groups they belong to. If a user has more than one Dashboard, they can switch to the Dashboard of their choice.
If the use of personal User Dashboards is enabled, the user will be taken to their personal User Dashboard. Personal User Dashboards can be customized by adding or deleting widgets, then saving the Dashboard layout.
The New UI is streamlined to allow the user to quickly and easily find what they need.
The screen has the following main areas:

More details about the various EnterWorks displays and their functions are described in subsequent sections of this document.
Tab Bar
The Tab Bar is the top bar in the New UI. The features on it change according to the tab being viewed.
The features that appear on your Tab Bar vary according to how your EnterWorks system is configured. The available features, from left to right, are:

Features Sidebar icon : Opens the Features Sidebar.

Text Search box: Locates the indicated text in active repositories, records, and widgets. Search is described more thoroughly in Searches and Filters.

Dashboard tab : Returns to the User Dashboard.

Navigation tabs: The tabs that appear here allow you to switch between functional views. The active tab is highlighted.

User Name: The name of the user.
-
Language selector: Allows you to choose the language used in the user interface.

Refresh icon : Refresh the Dashboard.
Warning: Refreshing the Dashboard will cause it to revert to the last saved layout. If you have made changes to the Dashboard that you would like to retain, click the Save Layout button before refreshing the Dashboard. -
Impersonate icon : Users with sufficient permissions can impersonate a different user role.

Profile icon : Allows the user to view their User Name or to log out.

UI Performance Indicator : This indicator provides running averages of the number of requests the New UI makes to the server and the server’s response speed.
The number of dots indicates the number of concurrent requests the UI is making.

One dot if there are 0-3 requests.

Two dots if there are 4-6 requests.
-
Three dots if there are more than 6 requests.
Six requests is the limit most browsers will perform.
The color of the dots indicates the speed that the requests are being returned, averaged over 4-5 seconds:

Green: up to 500ms

Yellow: up to 1000ms

Red: over 1000ms

Activity Bar
The Dashboard’s Activity Bar lists functions that can be performed on the contents of the opened tab. These activities are described in detail in the sections relating to their functional use. The Activity Bar contains different objects according to the contents of the tab.
The Dashboard’s Activity Bar contains:

Dashboard Selector: This dropdown list contains links to the dashboards the user is permitted to access – one for each user group they belong to.

Save Layout: Click this to save your Dashboard's layout. When you log out of EnterWorks or refresh your Dashboard without saving your layout, your Dashboard will revert to the last saved layout.

Add Widget: Click this button to add a Widget to your Dashboard.
Features Sidebar
The Feature Sidebar displays links to stored content, reports, and available actions. The list of features displayed depend on user permissions and system configuration.
The Feature Sidebar is comprised of the following tabs:

Repository: Lists the repositories the user is permitted to view, edit, or use.

Administration: Allows permitted users to view and manage users, groups, channel readiness, Code Sets, folders and Workflow.

System: Allows permitted users to monitor and manage jobs, and to clear the cache.

Reports: Allows users to view available reports.
-
About Us: Displays the version number of the EnterWorks system in use.
EnterWorks Version Numbers
To verify the version of EnterWorks installed, open the Feature Sidebar and either click the About US tab or click the EnterWorks logo at the top.
The EnterWorks Enable About Us screen will appear. The version of EnterWorks is listed under the header titled Build Number.

To go to the EnterWorks website, click the EnterWorks logo at the bottom of the Feature Sidebar.
