New Resource Version
Content Manager New Resource Version
On the New Resource Version page you can create a new version of a resource. Depending on the resource type, you can create the new version by either uploading a file or by manually creating content.
- doc - upload only
- jpg - upload only
- pdf - upload only
- rtf - upload only
- rtf (with variable data) - upload only
- html - upload or create online
- txt - upload or create online
- txt (with variable data) - upload or create online
- xls - upload only
- Message body - upload or create online
To access the new resource version page
- Display the resource revisions page for the resource for which you want to create a new version.

Click the New Resource Version link.
The New Resource Version page is displayed. Upload and/or Entry tabs display according to the resource type.
To create a new resource version by file upload
- On the New Resource Version page, click the File tab and then click Browse.

Locate and select a file matching the displayed Resource Type. The name of the file you chose displays in the Resource Upload field.
- Enter a Version Description; optionally revise the Descriptive Name.

Click Next. The Resource Verification page is displayed.

Review the resource details on the verification page and click Submit. The Resource Revisions page displays and provides a confirmation message.
To create a new resource version online
- On the New Resource Version page, click the Entry tab.
- Type the content in the appropriate editor(s) and use the provided formatting tools (if any).
- Optionally click the meta data list link to display the list.
- Enter a Version Description.
- Optionally revise the Descriptive Name.

Click Next. The New Resource Version Verification page displays.

Review the resource details on the verification page and click Submit. The Resource Revisions page displays and provides a confirmation message.
- For the Message body resource type, create content in both editors, HTML and TEXT. This will ensure there is resource content to display for both kinds of message recipients; those who view html messages and those who view only text messages.
- You can highlight meta data in the Meta Data list and then drag and drop it into the html or text editor.

Fields in the HTML Editor - Insert/Edit Image window enable you to specify image dimensions, alignment & spacing (useful when wrapping text around an image) and border thickness. When editing dimensions ensure that dimensions remain proportional; otherwise image distortion may occur.
