Rule Revisions

Content Manager Rules Revisions

On the Rules Revisions page you can view a list of all versions of a rule, control which version is active, revise the descriptive name, and access functionally for creating a new rule version.

To access revisions for a selected rule

  1. Click Content Manager in the main navigation bar.

    A secondary navigation bar displays.

  2. Click Rules. The Rules Search page is displayed.

  3. Perform a rule search.
  4. Locate a rule in the results table.
  5. Click the linked rule name. The Rules Revisions page displayed.

To activate a version

  1. Display the Rules Revisions page for a rule.
  2. Click Change Status to the right of the version you want to activate. The Rule Versions list updates with the change.

Points to note:
  • Only one version can be active. A confirmation dialog is provided When there is already an active version and you choose to activate another version.
  • Active versions of rules are available for selection when creating a new template version.

To make a version inactive

  1. Display the Rules Revisions page for a rule.
  2. Click Change Status to the right of the version you want to make inactivate. The Rule Versions list updates with the change.

Note: If desired, you can make all versions of a rule inactive, effectively making all versions of the rule unavailable for use.

To create a new rule version

  1. Display the Rules Revisions page for a rule.
  2. Click the linked version number in the versions table. The Rule Version Editor page is displayed.
