Test Set Document Search

Content Manager Module New Test Set Document Search

On the Test Set Document Search page you can locate document(s) that are suited to the test set you are creating. You can also print documents from the search results and obtain detailed information about a document.

You specify the document type (invoices, memos, letters, reports, or control reports) and then select at least one search term by which to narrow the search. Search terms vary according to the document type and can include:
  • Upload Date range
  • Document Date range
  • Customer No.
  • Customer Name
  • Document No.
  • Ship To Number
  • Purchase Order No.
  • Aging Bucket
  • Print Job Number
  • Report Type

The results are presented in a table that might span several pages depending on the number of documents found.

To search for documents

  1. Navigate to the New Test Set page via the Test Set Dashboard in Content Manager, name and describe the test set and click Next.

    The New Test Set Document Search page displays.

  2. On the Test Set Document Search page, select a Document Type.

    Available text entry fields and/or selection boxes display providing the search terms appropriate to the document type you selected. 3 Enter or select at least one search term.

  3. Click Submit.

    The results display in a table that might span several pages depending on the number of documents found.

Points to note:
  • Choose Select All to search for all Document Types.
  • You can perform a wild card search. Enter one or more characters and an asterisk in a field, and then click Search. Results return all documents having the same leading characters in that field.

To reorder the search results

Click on the column heading that you want to sort by. The search results rearrange per your selection.

To select individual documents to use in the test set

  1. On the results page, click the check box next to each document you want to include.
  2. If the results exceed one page, click the paging link to display the next page.

    Your selections are saved as you navigate among results pages.

  3. On each results page, click the check box for each document you want to include.
  4. Click the Next button at the bottom of the page to review your selections.

    The Test Set Review page displays, enabling you to verify your selections.

Points to note:
  • All selected documents will be included in your test set regardless of which results page lists them.
  • Refer to Test Set Review help for information on using the Test Set Review page.

To use all documents found in the test set

  1. On the results page, click the Select All check box.

    Your selections are saved.

  2. Click Next to review your selections. The Test Set Review page is displayed, enabling you to verify your selections.

To modify the search terms

  1. Click the Show Search Fields link. Applicable search term fields and/or selection boxes re-display showing the information you previously entered/selected.

  2. Enter or select your changes, and then click Submit. The results display in a table that might span several pages depending on the number of documents found.

Note: TIP: If you change the Document Type, previously entered/selected information is removed. You must select new search terms for the new document type.

To modify the test set name or description

  1. On the Document Search page, click Back. The New Test Set page is redisplayed showing your previous entries for the name and description.

  2. Enter your changes and then click Next. The Document Search page is redisplayed, enabling you to perform a new search for documents to use in your test set.

To abort creating the test set

  1. On the results page, click Cancel. A confirmation dialog displays.

  2. Click OK on the dialog to continue with cancellation of the test set. The Test Sets Dashboard page is displayed enabling you to view the test set list or to start over creating a new test set.

To view information about a document

  1. Click the I icon next to a document in the list. A pop-up window is displayed, providing you with additional details about the document.

  2. Click Close to close the pop up window.
Note: You can click the I icon next to another document in the list to view that document's information without closing the initial pop up window.

To print one or more documents on your default printer:

  1. In the search results list, do one of the following:
    • Click the Select check box to the left of each document you want to print.
    • Click the Select All check box.
  2. Click Print. A print verification page is displayed and indicates the number of documents to print.

  3. Click the Printer Option: Use default Printer, and then click Print on the verification page. Selected documents are sent to your default printer in a single file.
Points to note:
  • Depending on your operating system, browser, and browser settings, the file containing the documents to be printed may first open in your browser and you might need to respond to an authorization message to confirm that you want to continue to print the documents.
  • All selected documents will be printed regardless of the page on which they were selected. The documents print in a single file.

To print one or more documents on a printer that you select

  1. In the search results list, do one of the following:
    • Click the Select check box to the left of each document you want to print.
    • Click the Select All check box.
  2. Click Print.

    A Print verification page displays and indicates the number of documents that will be printed.

  3. Click the Printer Option: Use USER defined Printer, and then click Print on the verification page.

    A Print File dialog displays according to your operating system and browser.

  4. Choose a printer and follow instructions on the dialog to continue (or cancel). Selected documents are sent to the selected printer in a single file.
Note: All selected documents will be printed regardless of the page on which they were selected. The documents print in a single file.
