Migrating JavaScript, Winshuttle Scripts and Name Templates

With Winshuttle Designer 10.4 or later, the Winshuttle Solution Lifecycle Management Mode made deploying solutions across environments very easy. Migrating Winshuttle Scripts, Name Templates and JavaScript can be done with the click of a button.

Once a Name Template has been created, it exists within that Solution and where it’s deployed—thus you don’t need to create a new Name Template for every site to which you’d like to deploy solutions.

This also applies to Winshuttle Scripts. Once the Scripts have been added to a solution, they are a part of the solution file. If you are using any JavaScript in your form, you must review your code carefully to ensure that there aren’t any references to a data connection that may have changed during migration. If there are references they will need to be modified manually.
