In this step, we'll customize the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) that govern the amount of time each workflow participant is given to perform their part of the workflow.

For this example, we'll allow:

  • 5 days for the entire process to complete
  • 1 day for manager approval
  • 1 day for accounting approval
  • 2 days for master data approval

Briefly, here is how to do this in Winshuttle Designer.

To set the overall workflow duration in Winshuttle Designer, open the general Properties pane for the workflow.

  1. Next to Duration, type 5.
  2. DurationUnit defaults to Day.

For Manager, Accounting, and Master Data:

  1. Click on each node in the Workflow
  2. Under Activity, next to Approval, type the number of days for approval.

For Manager Approval and Accounting Review Nodes

  1. Click the node (Manager Approval or Accounting Review)
  2. In the Properties pane, under Activity:
    • Set ApprovalType to Unanimous
    • Set Duration to 1.

    DurationUnit should already be set to Day.

     

For Master Data Approval

  1. Click the node (Manager Approval or Accounting Review)
  2. In the Properties pane, under Activity:
    • Set ApprovalType to SingleApproval
    • Set Duration to 2.

    DurationUnit should already be set to Day.
