Winshuttle Central installation account requirements

To deploy Winshuttle Central on a SharePoint site, you must provide credentials for multiple accounts and one email address. See the following table for more information.

Account

Purpose

Requirements

Setup user account

Used to run the Central installer and deploy the Winshuttle Central .WSP.
  • Local administrator on each server on which Central will be installed
  • SharePoint Farm Administrator
  • Farm Account
  • Database permissions if Windows Authentication was used for the Central database installation.

SQL Server service account

Used to install the Central database

The following server roles are required in order to install or upgrade the database:

  • DBcreator fixed server role on SQL server instancesecurityadmin
  • db_owner database role membership .
  • The application pool identity should be a member of the Owner role on the Central database.

Email address

Used as the "From" address for task notifications for Winshuttle Transaction or Winshuttle Query script approvals.
  • An outbound SMTP server
