You can replicate production data by creating a backup. We recommend maintaining a regular backup of production data, and making a backup when migrating data. You can specify whether to update or restore all items or individual items in your CENTRAL site. Backup operations can also be scheduled.
- From the Winshuttle CENTRAL Administration page, under Site, select Backup (to create a backup job) or Restore (to restore a backup).
Note: When you restore you have the option to overwrite duplicate items.
- Specify the location for the backup.
- Specify whether you want all items or individual items backed up.
- Schedule the date and time for the backup. Click Create Job.
- To complete the restore process, you must do the following:
- Restart the Windows SharePoint Services Timer.
- Reset IIS on any web front servers.
- Reactivate Winshuttle CENTRAL Timer Jobs.
After you click Create Job, you must do the following:
- Restart Windows SharePoint Services Timer.
- Reset IIS on web front servers.
- Reactivate the Winshuttle CENTRAL TIMER JOBS feature.
