Winshuttle Transaction and Winshuttle Query scripts and data files are retained during upgrades from Winshuttle Central version 10.3 or 10.4 to versions 10.5 and later. In addition, any scripts or data files that have a production status will retain the production status after the site is upgraded to Winshuttle Central 10.5 or later.
Files can retain approved status and production status during a site migration. But to use Winshuttle Transaction scripts after a site migration, you must first save the associated data template locally.
- Back up your existing site. For more information, see Backup/Restore.
On your target site, before you restore the site, remove the Winshuttle CENTRAL workflow.
- From the Winshuttle CENTRAL Administration page, under Site, click Remove CENTRAL workflow.
Note: This removes the workflow from Default Data Files Document library only. If you have Winshuttle Transaction, Query, or custom Winshuttle Central document libraries, you'll need to remove the workflows from the content type manually.
- Restore the files to your target site.
- To use Winshuttle Transaction scripts, save the associated data templates locally.
- In the Winshuttle Transaction client, in the Run pane, click Revise.
- Resubmit the data template to Winshuttle Central through the Revision Wizard.
The template can now be used.
Updating and revising scripts after file backups are restored
Back to topSometimes after backed up files are restored, the users who created the files are no longer members of the site. This prevents the files from being revised. However, Winshuttle Central administrators can revise any production script and data template.
